Dar Al Omran – Rasem Badran Advances to #149 in ENR’s 2026 Top 225 International Design Firms

We are proud to announce that Dar Al Omran – Rasem Badran has once again been recognized among the world’s leading international design firms, ranking #149 in Engineering News-Record’s (ENR) 2026 Top 225 International Design Firms.
Advancing from #151 in 2025 to #149 this year, this achievement marks our 8th consecutive year of recognition by ENR and reflects the continued growth, resilience, and international presence of DAO-Badran.
ENR’s annual ranking evaluates firms based on revenue generated from international design services, bringing together some of the most prominent architecture, engineering, and multidisciplinary design practices operating around the world. The 2026 edition comes at a time of strong global demand for design expertise, with international revenue among the Top 225 firms reaching approximately USD 97.5 billion in 2025.
A Voice in the Global Conversation on the Future of Design
This year’s recognition carries additional significance as Dr. Sami Al Sabbagh, Group CEO of Dar Al Omran – Rasem Badran, was featured by ENR among international industry leaders discussing the transformation of design practice through artificial intelligence.
Reflecting on the growing adoption of AI across the industry, Dr. Al Sabbagh emphasized that technological advancement must remain grounded in the human and cultural dimensions of design. While digital tools can accelerate analysis and expand the possibilities available to designers, successful projects continue to depend on professional judgment, understanding clients, and responding thoughtfully to cultural and human context.
This perspective closely reflects DAO-Badran’s longstanding design philosophy: embracing innovation while keeping people, place, culture, and identity at the heart of the built environment.
Growing Across Markets
The 2026 ENR report comes amid significant growth in international design activity, particularly in the Middle East, where revenue among the Top 225 firms increased by 18.7%, continuing a strong upward trajectory in the region.
For DAO-Badran, this international recognition reinforces a journey built over decades of work across architecture, planning, engineering, urban design, landscape, and the wider built environment, serving communities and contributing to projects of cultural, social, and economic significance.
From our roots in the region to an expanding international portfolio, we continue to approach every project with the same ambition: to create environments that respond authentically to their context while addressing the evolving needs of the future.
We extend our sincere appreciation to our teams, clients, partners, and stakeholders whose trust and commitment continue to make these achievements possible.
As we celebrate our 8th consecutive year among ENR’s Top 225 International Design Firms, Dar Al Omran – Rasem Badran remains committed to advancing design that brings together heritage and innovation, technology and humanity, and local identity with global expertise.
We design for people, place, and generations to come.
